However you landed here, know that I appreciate your visit. The purpose of this website is to bring a bit of comfort to those who need it and inspire the world to elevate others with a smile, a gentle touch, a good deed done.  We are all a “power for good."

I also hope to spark a paradigm shift in the way most people view dying and death, as did before Amber entered my life…before her journey to The Threshold…before she crossed over.  I now embrace my angel and harness the power she gave me to transform the lives of others, just as she did mine.

At the tender age of 4½, she taught me how to live, what really matters in life, why she was here, and what happens when we die.  Shortly before she died on my 27th birthday, October 30, 1980, she called me to her side and gave me the most precious gift I’ve ever received.  “Mom, when I die, I’ll still be Amber, I’ll just be different.”  So, you see, she did not leave me…she did not pass away.  I did not "lose a child."  She simple changed.  She is with me now and always.

I continue to be astounded by this little girl—now angel—as she guides me in my life today.  She knew why she was sent to earth and told me a few days before she died peacefully at home.

As I passed through the living room, she softly called me to her side.  I bent down close to hear her.  "Mom, I know I'm here to help a lot of people,” she whispered.  Weak from the cancer that consumed her and the morphine that helped her endure, I could barely make out her words.  "What did you say, Amber?"  Frustrated at having to repeat herself, she insisted, "I SAID, 'I KNOW I'M HERE TO HELP A LOT OF PEOPLE'!”  I was taken aback.  “How could she know???” I wondered.  Today I have no doubt of her purpose or my own.

I was born in Los Angeles in the Queen of Angels Hospital.  Upon reflection, I now realize that it was no coincidence.  God chose Amber and she chose me to be her mother—to love and care for her...to be at her side through her journey with cancer…to help her cross The Threshold…to complete her Life Task.

My Life Task has been revealed oh, so slowly throughout the last 38 years:  "Share Amber's message of 'hope, heaven, and the miracle of life and death,' elevate others, comfort the bereaved."  Time has not diminished my passion for completing my Life Task; it has strengthened and clarified it, just as diamonds are brought to the earth’s surface by deep source volcanic eruptions.

And so my journey continues.  The next stop is a wonderful, exciting, powerful one!

It’s been my experience that when your loved one dies, you miss the human part of their being: seeing, hearing, touching.  It’s an intense, insatiable, desperate longing that cannot be satisfied.  In 2013, after learning how to paint silk, I was facilitating a newly bereaved group of the Bereaved Parents of the USA, I wondered, “What if I could paint a silk scarf—complete with images of angels and inspiring angel quotes—that would be a small physical way they can feel connected…they can embrace their angel?”

And now, my dream is being realized!  We have partnered with our sister site, Tobias & Co. LLC, to fulfill our “Be and Angel, Comfort an Angel” program.  For every Embrace the Angel silk scarf, necktie, or pillow cover purchased, Tobias & Co. LLC will donate one to a bereaved mother, father, or critically ill child in need. Working with our divine Angel Partners—hospices, hospitals, churches, and organizations, whose mission supports the critically ill and the bereaved—we will donate these silk pieces of wearable, lovable Angel Art with the hope that they will bring a bit of comfort, connection, and inspiration.

I will update this website as we progress.  Please check back often to take this journey with us and visit us on Facebook or Instagram to join our community!

Warm embrace…

We will read each and every email but may not be able to reply to all of them.  We promise to do our best.  Please let us know your ideas, suggestions, questions, and thoughts.
